Over the ten years I have provided psychotherapy, the healthcare landscape has changed vastly. Opening Cascade Psychotherapy in 2021, I dreamed of increasing accessibility of care beyond what a traditional therapy office space can provide. I provide individual adult psychotherapy to clients in Washington State and Georgia via telehealth. Teletherapy sessions are held on a HIPAA compliant video chat platform, bringing your most personal work into your most comfortable environment.
I work with adult individuals who are experiencing ADHD and neurodivergence, adverse religious experiences, anxiety, childhood and complex trauma, depression, existential processing, grief and complex loss, LGBTQIA+ specific issues, stage of life changes, and women+ specific issues. I have a non-direct approach in the therapy room and encourage you to lead your session. It's my goal to empower you to deepen your understanding of yourself and your relational dynamics. I hope to provide a safe environment for your most authentic self to be present.
In session, I practice through the lenses of ego-state interventions, psychodynamic therapy, and Gestalt. All three of these orientations use similar techniques: asking the client to engage in parts work, using the therapeutic relationship as a pathway to self-reflection, and understanding the mind, body, and spirit in the here and now.
I also provide EMDR.
When I am not working, I am also a client. I have been a client in groups, couples therapy, and individual sessions, and have benefitted from all of them in very different ways. In order to do this work, I believe it's my ethical responsibility to experience what it's like to sit on the other side of the therapeutic relationship.
I am only one provider of many and am lucky to work alongside other clinicians who do great work. Because my caseload and resources are limited, I provide a list of community resources for services I am unable to provide. Please reach out if you would like a list of specific providers to whom I regularly refer clients.
I also provide my current reading list. While this isn't part of my work directly, I like to share works that have impacted both my personal and professional journey in hopes that they will also impact you.
